Current status: junior synonym of Aenictus gracilis Emery, 1893: 187.

Synonymy: Wilson 1964: 463 (s/f Dorylinae).

Type locality(-ies): “ Ramboda (Ceylon). 3500 Fuss, 8.XII.1912, O. John, einige ww”.
