Type species. Kroppcarcinus siderastreicola Badaro, Neves, Castro & Johnsson, 2012 [Type locality: Guarajuba, Camaçari, Bahia]
Remarks. Kroppcarcinus is so far monotypic and restricted to western Atlantic waters.
