Description

This data was used in Zevin et al. 2021. It provides properties of binary black hole mergers from a suite of globular cluster simulations simulated using the Cluster Monte Carlo (CMC) code. Provided are component (source-frame) masses ('m1','m2'), component dimensionless spin magnitudes ('a1','a2'), eccentricities at a reference GW frequency of 10 Hz, 15 Hz, and 20 Hz ('e_10Hz','e_15Hz','e_20Hz'), merger redshifts ('redshift'), and relative weights of the host cluster for each system ('weights').

After downloading, one can simply read in the h5 file using:
import pandas as pd
df = pd.read_hdf('./cluster_eccentricities.hdf5', key='bbh')

If used in other studies, please cite Kremer et al. 2020 for the cluster models and Zevin et al. 2021 for the eccentricity distributions.
