Fulvius satipoensis Carvalho & Costa 1994: 118, 120, 124 (as n. sp.); Gorczyca 2006: 48-49 (catalogue); Chérot, Carpintero & Maes 2007: 176-177 (female genital structures); Costa, Chérot & Carpintero 2008: 349 (first citation from French Guiana); Schuh 2002 –2013 (online catalogue); Chérot & Carpintero 2016: 85 (additional occurrences from French Guiana).
Species originally described from Peru and later reported from Nicaragua (Chérot, Carpintero & Maes 2007) and French Guiana (Costa, Chérot & Carpintero 2008).
