Description

Poet Sukirdharani has been working against the contemporary violence against Dalit women and for Dalit women to be represented in political power. Different from the common feminist ideology, Dalit has made the ideology of women the subject of his poetry. The word 'Dalit' means 'minors of the soil', 'original inhabitants'. The differences between upper caste women and Dalit women in the context of Indian untouchability gave birth to a 'Dalit feminist politics of representation'. A Dalit woman transcends the generic identity of the woman and is defined within her identity as a Dalit woman. In this context, a Dalit woman has to gain representative political power for herself against caste and patriarchy. Due to the development of science and technology and globalization, the daily life patterns of man have changed. But slums remain slums in villages and urban areas. A Dalit woman raises the question of when these conditions will change, a Dalit woman stands up against the dominant caste, gets representation in political power, destroys the casteist ideologies that are rampant in the society, finds a representative political space as a solution to the ongoing violence against Dalit women, defined by the caste and patriarchal class. Refusal to accept morals, This article is explained to explore Sukirtharani's poems about dialogue against oppression, getting representation in political power and breaking the silence of the general society which is oblivious to the violence against Dalit women.
