Role of Open Educational Resources in the academic environment: A Study

Description

Open Educational Resources (OER) are of high demand in the academic environment for online teaching and learning especially in the pandemic situation. The application of ICT has a tremendous effect on this online learning process. Due to difficulties in getting information resources physically from the libraries, OER are very much dependable for all users to upkeep the standard of academic institutions in high level. The requirement of the educational resources and their use by the faculty members, students and research scholars of the concerned educational institutions are very much moving now towards open access policies, online resources and open educational resources. In this study an attempt has been made to explore the different types of OER and their importance for the development of online learning process. How the libraries can play an effective role to sustain this online teaching and learning system in this pandemic situation are described here with searching procedures for OER.
