The article focuses on the functions of policy in the sphere of law enforcement activities of the state determining the degree of its influence on law enforcement. The authors provide the general understanding of these functions. The article represents the authors’ classification of law enforcement policy functions determining the degree of its influence on law enforcement. The authors’ classification includes the subfunction of specifying the system of bylaws, the subfunction of changing legislation and other sources of law, the subfunction of improving individual legal regulation of relations between subjects of law, and the subfunction of achieving an unambiguous interpretation of law and its application. The authors reveal the content of the subfunctions which constitute the function of law enforcement policy determining the degree of its influence on law enforcement.
