NETWORK SECURITY AND MONITORING

This article describes common LAN security threats and how to mitigate them. It also describes the SNMP protocol and shows how to enable it for network monitoring and how to locally implement Switched Port Analyzer technology to capture and monitor traffic using port analyzers or IPS devices.
