The article is devoted to the problem of increasing the effectiveness of the fight against corruption in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The article’s aim is to analyze the ongoing changes in anticorruption policy and legislation in Uzbekistan, identify the most pressing problems in this area and  develop recommendations for further improvement of the state’s anti-corruption mechanism. The research methods were the following: analysis of scientific literature, legal acts of Uzbekistan, the USA, France, Great Britain, Japan and other states, as well as OECD recommendations, induction, deduction, system analysis and forecasting. The article draws attention to the fact that the modernization of legislation is a fundamental factor in the comprehensive and systemic fight against corruption in Uzbekistan, the state needs to continue large-scale political reforms and changes in existing legislation in order to fight corruption more effectively. Based on the successful anticorruption experience of the OECD countries, the article’s author developed specific proposals for further improvement of the anti-corruption mechanism in Uzbekistan.
