The article represents the results of the study of levels and indicators of Internet addiction among young adolescents. Analysis of a results in the diagnostics of Internet addiction among younger adolescents has revealed that students of that age have an acceptable and inadequate level of Internet addiction. Young people with inadequate levels of Internet addiction have low levels of communication, isolation, loneliness, high levels of anxiety and low self-esteem. Whereas students with an adequate level of Internet addiction have a normal level of anxiety and self-esteem, a high level of communication. The results have made it possible to develop a programme for the prevention of Internet addiction among younger adolescents. This article will be of interest to specialists in various fields of pedagogical psychology, preventology and pedagogy.
