İmpact of Hypoxia on Heart Activity in Rabbits at an Early Period of Postnatal Ontogenesis

The electrocardiogram was performed on 10, 20, 30- day-old rabbit pups, which had been undertaken the effects of hypoxia during 3 days, for 20 minutes. It was revealed that the number of heartbeats in 10-day-old rabbit pups increased during the experiment, contrary to the other groups. The amplitudes of R and T waves decreased in comparison with the control group. These alterations were more pronounced in 30-day-old rabbit pups.
