Parasite fauna of forest mice has been studied for the first time on the South slopes of the Big Caucasus and 43 parasite species have been identified. Twenty two of them appeared to be helminths, six were fleas, seven were flares and eight were coccidia. In general, extensiveness of infections with helminths, flares, fleas and coccidia were 73.7%, 56.4%, 61.7%, and 47.2%, respectively. Among detected parasites 7 helminth, 2 coccidium and 8 ecoparasite species cause various diseases in human and domestic animals. Therefore, they are of great epizootiological and epidemiological importance
