Data Carpentry: Introduction to geospatial raster and vector data with Python

Introduction to geospatial raster and vector data with Python data carpentry is part of the Carpentries Incubator and aims to help learners to familiarize with Python geo-spatial ecosystem through hands-on practices with a code-along format targetting specific tools and problems. It is forked from the R-based geospatial curriculum an targets students and researchers with exposure to Python. The curriculum includes introduction to geospatial concepts, access to satellite imagery, reading and visualization of raster data, vector data, data manipulations and calculations, and parallel raster computations.
