THEORETICAL CONCEPTS OF SPEECH PORTRAIT AND LANGUAGE PERSONALITY

This article clarifies the essence of the concepts of "linguistic personality", "speech portrait" that have become widely used, and systematizes approaches to their study. The need for this is explained by the ever-increasing interest in the analysis of various communicative and discursive roles of the individual and, as a result, the inevitable terminological confusion that is observed in a number of works on this topic.
