Efektivitas Pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa SMP

In this study, we will discuss how far the effectiveness of RME learning has on the critical thinking skills of junior high school students. The population of this study were all class VII students of SMPN 1 Lemahabang and 40 students were taken as samples from 2 classes each. The instrument used is 6 items describing students' critical thinking skills on Triangles and Quadrilaterals. The method in this research is quasi-experimental. Based on the results of the t-test of 0.00, it means that there are differences in the critical thinking skills of students who use RME learning and students who use conventional learning and an effect size of 1.79 with a large effect category. Therefore it can be concluded that RME learning provides excellent effectiveness on students' critical thinking skills.
