Description

Pipistrellus mordax (Peters, 1866). Monatsb. K. Preuss. Akad. Wiss. Berlin, 1866:402.

TYPE LOCALITY: Indonesia, Java.

DISTRIBUTION: Java; records from India and Sri Lanka are erroneous, based on misidentified P. affinis, see Hill and Harrison (1987:248).

COMMENTS: Subgenus Falsistrellus.
