Eptesicus capensis

Description

Eptesicus capensis (A. Smith, 1829). Zool. J., 4:435.

TYPE LOCALITY: South Africa, Cape Province, Grahamstown.

DISTRIBUTION: Guinea to Ethiopia, south to South Africa; Madagascar.

SYNONYMS: damarensis, garambae, gracilior, grandidieri, matroka, nkatiensis, notius.

COMMENTS: Subgenus Neoromicia. Includes notius; see Koopman (19756:405).
