Peropteryx leucoptera Peters, 1867. Monatsb. K. Preuss. Akad. Wiss. Berlin, 1867:474.

TYPE LOCALITY: Surinam.

DISTRIBUTION: Peru, Colombia, N and E Brazil, Venezuela, French Guiana, Guyana, and Surinam.

SYNONYMS: cyclops.

COMMENTS: Subgenus Peronymus. Formerly included in genus Peronymus; see Cabrera (1958:52).
