Dendrolagus ursinus

Description

Dendrolagus ursinus (Temminck, 1836). Discours préliminaire destine a servir d'introduction al faune du Japon, p. 6 (footnote 2).

TYPE LOCALITY: Indonesia, Irian Jaya, Fakfak Div., Lobo Dist., near Triton Bay, Mt. Lamantsjieri.

DISTRIBUTION: Extreme NW New Guinea.

STATUS: CITES - Appendix II.

SYNONYMS: leucogenys.

COMMENTS: Does not include inustus (see Kirsch and Calaby, 1977:17). Correct original citation presented by Husson (1955).
