Pompilus anceps Wesmael, 1851: 463, ♀. Lectotype, ♀, “ Belgium ”, designated by Wahis 1957: 5, deposited in Institut Royal des Sciences Naturelles de Belgique, Brussels.

Russia: European part (North-West, Centre, East, South, North Caucasus, Crimea), Western Siberia (Altai Rep.), Eastern Siberia (Khakassia, Tuva Rep., Krasnoyarsk Terr., Zabaikalskii Terr.), Far East (Amur Prov., Kamchatka Terr., Magadan Prov., Chukot Autonomous Area); Europe (Western, Northern, Southern, Eastern), Turkey, Syria, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Kazakhstan.
