Description

Pipistrellus dormeri (Dobson, 1875). Proc. Zool. Soc. Lond., 1875:373.

TYPE LOCALITY: India, Mysore, Bellary Hills.

DISTRIBUTION: N. W., S. and E. India; Pakistan; perhaps Taiwan.

COMMENT: Sometimes placed in a separate genus, Scotozous; see Tate, 1942, Bull. Amer. Mus. Nat. Hist., 80:221; Corbet and Hill, 1980:68; but also see Ellerman and Morrison-Scott, 1951:162- 163; Corbet, 1978:51.
