TYPE LOCALITY: U.S.S.R., E. Kamchatka (U.S.S.R.).

DISTRIBUTION: Putorana Mts., N.C. Siberia; N.E. Siberia from Lena River east to Chukotka and Kamchatka (U.S.S.R.)

COMMENT: Corbet, 1978:218, and others included nivicola in canadensis; but see review by Korobitsyna et al., 1974, Quat. Res., 4:235-245; Corbet and Hill, 1980:127; and Gromov and Baranova, 1981:407.
