Tamias sibiricus

Description

Tamias sibiricus (Laxmann, 1769). Sibirische Briefe, Gottingen, p. 69.

TYPE LOCALITY: U.S. S. R., R.S.F.S. R., Altaisk Krai, near Barnaul.

DISTRIBUTION: N. European U.S. S.R. and Siberia, to China and Korea; Sakhalin; S. Kurile Isis. (U.S. S. R.); Hokkaido (Japan).

COMMENT: Subgenus Eutamias; see Gromov et al., 1965: 125. See Chaworth-Musters, 1937, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., 19: 158, for clarification of the type locality.

ISIS NUMBER: 5301410002007014001 as Eutamias sibericus (sic).
