COGNITIVE STUDY OF "HAPPINESS" METAPHORS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK IDIOMS

Happiness is one of the basic human emotions. This article takes the metaphorical expressions of the concept “happiness” in English and Uzbek idioms as the objects of research. The effort is made to find the differences and similarities between English and Uzbek metaphorical systems of emotional concepts and the causes of these differences and similarities so as to help people further understand the nature of emotional metaphors.
