Author Song and Sung Poetry in the Musical Life of Khmelnytskyi in the 21st Century

Description

The purpose of the article is to conduct a biographical and creative analysis of the development of the genre of author song and sung poetry in the context of the musical life of the city of Khmelnytskyi in the 21st century. Methods. Theoretical and empirical research methods were used under research, such as comparative analysis, observation, survey, conversation, systematisation and generalisation. Results. The components of the genre have been revealed, and the essence of the concepts of author song and sung poetry has been analysed. The author has singled out the separate area – “performance”. In addition, the article presents brief biographical information on the bright personalities of this genre. The main focus is on the coverage of their work, such as songwriting, concert and performance activities, festival-competition practice, participation in television and radio programmes, work in a recording studio and more. Their contribution to the musical culture of the city of Khmelnytskyi has been shown. It has been determined that author song and sung poetry are an integral part of the musical life of the city of Khmelnytskyi, which is a bright indicator of the general spiritual development of the locals. Scientific novelty. For the first time in the regional musicology of the city of Khmelnytskyi, the dynamics of the functioning of the genre of author song and sung poetry in the 21st century has been studied.
