Kyrylo Stetsenko and Music and Stage Art (to Mark the 140 Anniversary of the Artist's Birth)

Description

The purpose of the article is to highlight the musical and stage work of Kyryl Stetsenko, composer, conductor, teacher, and public figure in the context of the paradigm of aesthetic education of children and youth. The methods: chronological, which allows studying the life and creative path of the artist in chronological order; analytical, which allows distinguishing the musical and stage perspective of the composer’s creative activity; method of generalisation and synthesis of processed materials and documents. Results. Examining the life and creative path, pedagogical and social activities of K. Stetsenko, it can be argued that the musical and scenic art, which was associated with folk songs, fairy tales, and staging, was his vocation in the field of aesthetic education of students. The musical and stage sphere of K. Stetsenko’s personality is an integral part of the national aesthetic education system for schoolchildren. His creative heritage for theatre and stage has not lost its relevance to this day. Scientific novelty. For the first time in the framework of a scientific article K. Stetsenko’s musical and stage activity was analysed, and his efforts on the aesthetic education of children through the prism of stage art were substantiated.
