Increasing Equity through Open Research

  • 1. The Alan Turing Institute

Description

This is the presentation slides from a workshop run by The Turing Way Community at Genomic England's Conference on Research for Genomic Equity.

We ran a workshop to introduce how open research can start to tackle barriers of mistrust in science by the general public and also the scientific community.

We introduced what open research is and the aspects that can be used to tackle barriers to equity such as mistrust, inappropriate scientific communications and access.

When then gave some examples of open research projects and introduced the Turing way as an example of collaborative and open research.
