ONLINE AND DIGITAL EDUCATION: USES AND CHALLENGES

Education is important in the development of the country. It is the fundamental right of every citizen of the
country to get quality education. Education has become one of the basic necessities of life. From the Gurukula
education of earlier times to the present modern day education, it can be seen that online education has become
important in the time of Corona epidemic. Everyone from young to old is getting education online. Today's young
generation is learning on the basis of new technology using applications like Zoom, Google meet etc. Teachers
and students are using digital tools in teaching and learning. Online and digital education offers the ability to
share material in different format such as video, slideshows, word documents and PDF. The new National
Education Policy (2020) will allow online and digital education to bring students who have been deprived of
education for some reason like dropping out, marriage.
