Capture strategy of spiders

In relation to the project "BioCombs4Nanofibers" the prey capture strategy of cribellate spiders is described. This includes a short introduction into the production of their special nanofibrous capture threads as well as their special capture thread and its production and its adhesive mechanism. A short introduction into van der Waals forces is given. According literature hints for further information can be found at the end of the document.
