Cultural Diplomacy in the European Union. State and relationship with the EU strategic autonomy
Creators
Description
This thesis is the culmination of my Master Studies on Cultural Management at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and the University of Girona. It presents a critical analysis of the European Union's cultural diplomacy and its relationship with the thesis of strategic autonomy. By focusing on the institutional register and analysing EU supranational policy narrative and design, this study bridges the theoretical gap between cultural diplomacy and strategic autonomy. It is structured along three axes: what is culture and how does EU foreign cultural policy relate to it, who is involved and in what role, and what are the practical actions (funding) that support EU policies on cultural diplomacy.
