Description
Objective. To prove the advantage of arthroscopic diagnosis and arthroscopic meniscectomy for meniscal injuries. Material and methods. In the Samarkand branch of the RSSPMCTO, 429 patients with various pathologies of the meniscus of the knee joints were examined in the department of orthopedics of large joints. Results. The results of arthroscopic diagnosis and treatment of injuries of the meniscus of the knee joint were excellent in 297 (69%) patients, good in 103 (24%) patients, satisfactory in 23 (5.5%) patients, and in 6 (1.5%) patients ) patients, the results of treatment were unsatisfactory. Conclusions. Among the injuries of the internal elements of the knee joint, meniscal injuries ranks first. The results of treatment of patients with meniscal injuries in 93% of patients gave "excellent" and "good" results. This result shows that arthroscopy is effective in diagnosis and treatment. With it, intra-articular elements are little injured, it accurately shows the pathology, the patient quickly activates, and the period of inpatient treatment is also reduced.
