Description
Finite difference numerical model to calculate the local mechanical variables (e.g. stress, strain rate) within a Griggs-type experimental assembly. The model solves the Stokes’ equations for slow, viscous, incompressible flow. The code uses the MATLAB® direct solver, employs a staggered grid for discretization and the marker in cell method for model advection (Gerya & Yuen, 2003; Gerya, 2009).
