Description

The dependence of the limiting energy on the size of spherical quantum points made of GaAs is theoretically studied. It has been shown that the holes in the valence band at the energy levels and quantum points of the free electrons in the conduction band are discrete. It has also been shown that the energy between the two levels depends on the size of the quantum dots and increases with decreasing the size of the quantum dots. Furthermore, our results show that the limiting energy decreases with increasing quantum dot radius, but does not reach zero.
