L'aragonais et le galicien : frontières et histoire. Des contributions de l'Oficina Romànica de Barcelone

L’intérêt pour établir les frontières entre les langues romanes existe depuis les débuts de la linguistique et de la philologie, quand les variétés ibéro-romanes commencèrent à être étudiées et attirèrent l’attention de dialectologues et de romanistes venus d’ailleurs. C’est dans le cadre de ces préoccupations que vit le jour ce qui devait devenir le principal centre de référence international de la romanistique en Espagne, l’Oficina Romànica (l’OR), fondée à Barcelone en 1928. Même si la plupart de ses contributions se concentraient sur la langue catalane et les principales langues romanes, elle a également soutenu des études et des projets sur l’aragonais et le galicien, variétés assez négligées jusqu’alors. Dans la présente étude, nous analysons comment l’OR a contribué au processus d’individuation et d’internationalisation de ces langues.

abstract
There has been an interest in establishing the boundaries between Romance languages since the beginnings of linguistics and philology, when the Ibero-Romance varieties began to be studied and drew the attention of dialectologists and Romanists from abroad. It was in the framework of these concerns that what would become the main international reference center for Romanistics in Spain, the Oficina Romànica (OR), was founded in Barcelona in 1928. Even though its main contributions were focused on the Catalan language and the major Romance languages, it also supported studies and research projects on Aragonese and Galician, varieties that had been rather neglected until then. In this study, we analyze how the OR contributed to the process of individuation and internationalization of these languages.
