Data Management Plan

Description

The DMP has the objective to describe the lifecycle of all data to be generated, collected, processed and stored during the project and how data will be shared after the project’s end. Internal practices per partner, as well as common Consortium practices, should be described.
SMART-electron is a FET-Open project with the aim to develop an innovative technological platform for designing, realizing and operating all-optical rapidly-programmable phase masks for electrons. During the course of the project, SMART-electron will generate a variety of data covering a wide range of R&D and regulation activities: experimental and theoretical results will appear in the form of electron microscopy images, spectra and diffraction patterns, as well as light optical images, spectra and time-correlation profiles.
As far as metadata and data are concerned, the guiding principle is to strive to make them FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) as much as possible.
SMART-electron data will be originated in laboratory environments (experiments) and computing facilities (theory and simulations). In general, the project is expected to generate novel scientific data that will be kept confidential until their publication. Before publication, data will be shared on a collaborative basis within the SMART-electron Consortium.
