The introduction for an automated provenance generation tool designed specifically for astronomical pipelines.
This talk gives an overview of provenance, a description of the tool itself, and an overview of the user interface designed for it. The talk continues to describe the different uses for provenance within this context, giving examples from pipeline which analyse data from various astronomical survey telescopes.
