Description

This study presents new faunistic records of 29 beetle species from the Biebrza National Park and its buffer zone, NE Poland. The beetles were captured using Moericke traps (yellow pan traps) set at several locations in the study area. The collected beetles represent 14 families: Anthicidae, Chrysomelidae, Coccinellidae, Dermestidae, Histeridae, Latridiidae, Leiodidae, Meloidae, Melyridae, Nanophyidae, Nitidulidae, Ptinidae, Silvanidae, Staphylinidae. Seventeen species were recorded for the first time from the region of Masurian Lake District. Eusphalerum sorbicola (KANGAS, 1941) and Schistoglossa drusilloides (SAHLBERG, 1876) (Staphylinidae) are new species for the fauna of Poland.
