Copper selects for siderophore-mediated virulence in Pseudomonas aeruginosa: data
Description
Data for the paper entitled 'Copper selects for siderophore-mediated virulence in Pseudomonas aeruginosa'. Columns are:
- copper: 1 = no copper control, 2 = 0.1g/L copper sulphate, 3 = 1.0g/L copper sulphate.
- rep: rep identifier to allow control of repeated sampling
- death: the number of larvae dead out of 20
- pyo: the amount of pyoverdine in the sample. Values of sterile media are already subtracted from these readings.
- od: the optical density of each sample. Values of sterile media are already subtracted from these readings.
- tp: timepoint. 1 = 2 days, 2 = 12 days
- cfu: the number of colony forming units per 25µL of freezer stock. This is made with 50% glycerol.
- strain: wildtype = a pyoverdine and pyochelin producer, mutant = a non-producer
