Lekcje latania, czyli ekologia interdyscyplinarności w programie Our Mythical Childhood [Flying Lessons, or the Ecology of Interdisciplinarity in the Programme Our Mythical Childhood]

W rozdziale przedstawiona zostaje koncepcja „ekologii” jako wspólnoty kulturowej, której jednym z filarów jest antyk. Autorka omawia tę problematykę na przykładzie analizy recepcji mitów greckich w powieści chilijskiego pisarza Luisa Sepúlvedy Historia o mewie i kocie, który uczył ją latać oraz jej filmowej animowanej adaptacji, dokonanej przez włoskiego reżysera Enza D’Alò. Refleksje nad tymi dwoma tekstami kultury zostają umieszczone w szerokim kontekście prezentacji założeń interdyscyplinarnego programu badawczego „Our Mythical Childhood”, stworzonego w roku 2011 przez autorkę, która realizuje go na Wydziale „Artes Liberales” UW, kierując międzynarodowym zespołem specjalistów w takich dyscyplinach, jak studia nad dzieciństwem, filologia klasyczna, literatury nowożytne, archeologia, historia, ludoznawstwo, edukacja, medioznawstwo i neuropsychiatria dziecięca.

This chapter presents the concept of "ecology" as a cultural community, one pillar of which is Classical Antiquity. The author discusses this issue by analyzing the reception of Greek myths in the novel by the Chilean writer Luis Sepúlveda The Story about a Seagull and the Cat Who Taught Her to Fly and its animated film adaptation by the Italian director Enzo D'Alò. Reflections on these two cultural texts are placed in the broad context of the ideas advanced by the interdisciplinary research programme "Our Mythical Childhood', created in 2011 by the author, who continues to run it at the Faculty of "Artes Liberales" of the University of Warsaw by leading an international team of specialists in such disciplines as childhood studies, classical philology, modern literatures, archeology, history, folk studies, education, media studies, and children's neuropsychiatry.
