MGG-PRODIGEES, in collaboration with CIFE, invites researchers from the PRODIGEES network to submit abstracts towards proposals for publications in two thematic areas: Digitalisation & Governance and Digitalisation & Society. Accepted contributors will be invited to participate in a three-day Author’s Workshop on 22-24 September in Nice, Fance with the goal of developing joint publication projects. The workshop is hosted by the German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) and the Centre International de Formation Européenne (CIFE), within the framework of DIE’s Managing Global Governance (MGG) network initiative PRODIGEES (Promoting Research on Digitalisation in Emerging Powers and Europe towards Sustainable Development).

The Author’s Workshop is an innovative laboratory for developing paper ideas towards a common publication project among multiple partners. Selected keynote speakers will deliver opening presentations to kick off discussions with all participants. Smaller group, workshop formats will facilitate the joint development of research projects (ideally with teams of co-authors from different world regions) that culminate in concrete publication plans on the basis of submitted paper proposals. The aspired outcome is the development of multiple projects on different sub-topics, with the potential to be combined into one bigger publication, such as a special issue of a journal, a book, or individual contributions. During the Workshop, groups of authors will identify target mediums for their respective publications.

A full agenda will be available in summer 2022.
