Efficacy Of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy: A Randomized Control Trial

Description

The present research attempts to study the efficacy of Parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT) in dealing with the behavior and language problem due to behavioral disturbances in young children more than usual treatments.

Objective: To determine the efficacy of parent-based intervention Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), dealing with the behavior and language problem.

Methods The study was done on a sample of 50 children ages 3 to 7year.  Analysis was done by using T-test. 

Results: Result shows the clear cut difference between both of the techniques efficacy. PCIT scores are significantly higher than regular speech therapy sessions (RSTS). This clearly depicts the efficacy of PCIT.
