Viral Encephalo-Retinopathy Interlaboratory Proficiency Test (VER-IPT): results from two years' experience

This paper report results from the 2nd and 3rd interlaboratory proficiency test (IPT) for Viral Encephalo-Retinopathy (VER). The proficiency test was organized by the OIE reference laboratory located in Italy at the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie. Comments on the participant's results and suggestions for the selection of the best performing molecular assay for VER detection are also provided.
