Disruptive discharge risk and reliability parameters of high-voltage electrical power facilities

  • 1. Electrical Engineering Institute "Nikola Tesla", University of Belgrade, Belgrade, Serbia

Description

This paper presents an approach to the calculation of disruptive discharge risk and the reliability parameters for insulations of high-voltage facilities. It starts from overvoltages on individual insulations occurring as the consequence of the relevant causal events and from corresponding disruptive discharge probability functions of insulations. Disruptive discharge risk and reliability parameters can be determined for any individual insulation (phase-to-earth, phase-to-phase and the like), set of insulations or for the entire substation insulation system. For given reliability, the necessary disruptive discharge functions of insulations can be determined.
