DERIVATIONAL AND SEMANTIC FEATURES OF FORMS DERIVED WITH THE SUFFIX -če IN SOME »BALKANIZED« SOUTH-SLAVIC LANGUAGES

One of the features of the lexical derivation in the »balkanized« South-Slavic languages is the large productivity of the suffix -ée. This productivity has not been fully explained in linguistics, but a number of facts indicate that there may be a non-Slavic influence upon this phenomenon. Apart from its productivity in some of these languages, the suffix -če is characterized by specific derivational and semantic properties.
