Type locality: [Germany, Nuremberg] “Nuremberg” (Bonato et al. 2016).

Monotarsobius curtipes — Zalesskaja, 1978: 178 (♂ ♀); Vsevolodova-Perel, 2009: 138; Bragina, 2012: 141.

Lithobius (Monotarsobius) curtipes Farzalieva & Esyunin, 2008: 941 (more 100: ♂ ♀); Nefediev et al., 2017b: 220 (20 ♂♂, 9 ♀♀); 2018: 232 (33 ♂♂, 29 ♀♀); 2020a: 41 (13 ♂♂, 15♀♀); Nefediev & Farzalieva, 2020: 193 (13 ♂♂, 13 ♀♀); Bragina et al., 2020: 28 (6 ♂♂, 5 ♀♀, 1 ♂ / ♀, 3 agenitalis).

Previous records. Kazakhstan: Kostanay Region—Kamennoye Lake [Kz48], Naurzum Reserve [Kz52a] (Bragina 2012; Bragina et al. 2020) and West Kazakhstan Region —Zhanibek [Kz66] (Vsevolodova-Perel 2009; Dyachkov 2019).

Habitat records. “Oak plantation on lowering of relief” (Vsevolodova-Perel 2009); birch forest (Bragina et al. 2020).

Remarks. Spread in Mongolia, widespread W Siberia, W Asia, Europe (Zalesskaja 1978; Farzalieva & Esyunin 2008; Nefediev et al. 2016; Nefediev & Farzalieva 2020). Zalesskaja (1978) & Zenkova (2016) describe it as a “polyzonal eurytopic” species.
