Description

Oxyopes licenti Schenkel, 1953 *

COMMENTS. The first record of the family and species in the province and the southernmost locality of species in Russia. Distributed from the Altais to Central Yakutia and upper Kolyma [Marusik et al., 1996: sub O. parvus Paik, 1969] to the south to Sichuan [Song et al., 1999]. Recently [Song et al., 1999] O. parvus and O. licenti were synonymised. Synonymy of O. licenti and O. badius proposed here is based on the illustrations provided by Chikuni [1989: 117, f. 2] and numerous specimens from Mongolia and Siberia examined.
