Bathyphantes orientis Oi, 1960 **

Material examined: 2 ♂ ♀, [05] Khanka I.ake SW shore, Sosnovy Isl & peninsula nearby, 44º52'N 132º07'E, 17.07.1998, YM; 7♂ ♀, env. ofVladivostok, Uglovove, 43º20.92'N 132º03.05'E, - 4.10.1998, YM.

COMMENTS. The first correct record in Russia. All earlier reports ofthis species from Siberia and the Far East [cf. Eskov, 1994] appear to refer to B. gracilis (Blackwall, 1841) [Marusik et al., 1992b], In addition to the Maritime Province, this species was found also on Kunashir (northernmost locality) and Shikotan islands (personal data). Outside Russia known from Hokkaido and Honshu, Japan [Yaginuma, 1977] and northeastern China [Song et al., 1999].
