Panulirus laevicauda (Latreille, 1817)
Material examined (N=1). 1f, 18/IX/2000, 13°52’37”S / 38°57’11”W (MZUESC #55).
Distribution. Western Atlantic – Bermuda, Florida, Gulf of Mexico, Central America, Antilles, northern South America, Guyanas, and Brazil (Fernando de Noronha, and from Maranhão to São Paulo) (Coelho & Ramos-Porto 1980; Coelho & Ramos-Porto 1998b).
Ecological notes. On reefs, rocks, and calcareous algae bottoms. From shallow waters to 50 m (Melo 1999).
