Type species. Pycna strix Amyot & Audinet-Serville
Remarks. The genus is distributed from Madagascar and southern Africa to China and Thailand (Metcalf 1963a; Duffels & van der Laan 1985; Sanborn et al., 2007; Boulard, 2008).
