Megaphyllum leucadium (Attems, 1929)

Material examined. NHMW: Greece: Inv. No. 3111, gonopods, type, slide preparation; gonopods, slide preparation, Levkas (Frini, Enkluvi), Beier 1932; Inv. No. 8020, 533, 6ƤƤ, Levkas, leg. M. Beier, 30.5.1932.

Distribution in the Balkans. Greece: “Leucas” (today: Lefkada): Frini (type locality), Kaligoni and under Frini by the seacoast (Strasser 1974).

World distribution. Endemic to the island of Lefkada, Greece.

Remarks. This is the only hitherto known Megaphyllum species on the island; resembling M. cepahlonicum from the neighbouring Cephalonia Island, and M. recticauda from Corfu Island, Greece.
